Chimneys at Saanchal Integrals

Our range, the brands behind it, and how we help you choose with confidence.

At Saanchal Integrals the chimney range covers wall mounted, island, built in and straight line models in 60 cm and 90 cm widths, in baffle filter and filterless designs, from Faber, Glen, Bosch, Blowhot and Beyond. Ducting kits, cowls and wall caps are stocked alongside, so the chimney and everything it needs to vent properly come from the same counter.

We do not sell by the suction number on the box. Bring your hob width, your kitchen size and where the duct has to go, and we will narrow the range down to the two or three models that actually fit, then show you how they compare on noise, cleaning and price.

A Buyer's Guide to Chimneys

What to get right before you buy, and the mistakes we help our clients avoid.

Match the Width to the Hob, Not the Cabinet

A 90 cm chimney over a 60 cm hob is wasted. A 60 cm chimney over a four burner 75 cm hob will let smoke escape at the edges. Buy the chimney at or above the hob width.

Size the Suction to the Room

As a working rule, kitchen volume in cubic metres multiplied by ten air changes an hour gives the minimum. Closed kitchens need less, open plan kitchens next to a living room need more.

Ducted Beats Recirculating

A ducted chimney throws the air outside. A recirculating one filters it through charcoal and puts it back in the room. If an outside wall is reachable, duct it. Keep the duct run short with as few bends as possible.

Decide How Much Cleaning You Will Actually Do

Baffle filters need washing every few weeks. Auto clean and filterless units move that work to a drain tray. If nobody in the house is going to pull filters out monthly, pay for the auto clean.

Ideal Applications

The rooms and projects where our chimneys are most often installed.

  • Closed Flat Kitchens

A 60 cm wall mounted unit over a four burner hob, ducted to the nearest outside wall.

  • Open Plan Kitchens

Higher suction and a wider hood, because room air movement works against the chimney.

  • Island Counters

Ceiling mounted island chimney with the duct run through a false ceiling.

  • Rental and Compact Kitchens

Built in or straight line units where an overhead cabinet has to stay in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the questions we hear most about chimneys.

What suction capacity do I need for a normal Bengaluru flat kitchen?

For a closed kitchen of roughly 100 to 120 square feet, 1200 m3/hr is comfortable. If the kitchen opens into the dining or living area, go to 1400 m3/hr or above.

Is a filterless chimney better than a baffle filter one?

For maintenance, yes. Filterless units separate oil by centrifugal force into a collection tray that you empty, with no filter to scrub. Baffle filters are cheaper to buy and perfectly good if you are willing to wash them regularly.

Can a chimney be installed without ducting?

Yes, in recirculating mode with a charcoal filter. It is the fallback when there is no reachable outside wall. Expect weaker odour removal and a charcoal filter that needs replacing every six to twelve months.

What height should the chimney be fixed at above the hob?

Between 60 cm and 75 cm above the cooktop surface for a gas hob. Lower than that and the heat affects the unit. Higher and the suction falls off noticeably.

Do you handle installation?

We coordinate installation through the brand service network for the models we supply. Share your kitchen measurements and duct route with us and we will tell you what the installation will involve before you buy.

How long does a chimney last?

A good unit runs eight to ten years. The motor usually outlives the cosmetic parts. Regular cleaning of filters or the oil tray is the single biggest factor in how long it holds its suction.
